Visual And Editorial Design for Books and Narratives

By Olabode Ogunlana. He wrote alongside this project’s editorial design team, to paint captivating pictures where love ususally wins. However, Ogunlana’s vividly drawn characters typically suffer from separation, mistaken identity, self-doubt and envy.

Ogunlana engaged critically at multiple design workshops with the project and publishing team on fonts, formats, illustration and the techniques of publishing. Typography, Illustration and writing are deeply connected tell a series of evocate narratives.

These evocative narratives are set in traditional Yoruba folklore: A world of noble farmers, women warriors, and over reaching monarchs, checked by their subjects which will delight and excite the reader.

This visual design and narrative tells the stories with an ear for the nuances of Yoruba, and brings them to life for a contemporary audience.
