'Another World Is Possible'

A 3-day Participatory Visualisation And Prototyping Workshop Series.

This 3-day workshop series was a part of an inaugural Festival of Creativity, titled Another World is Possible, at The Charter School East Dulwich.

We created and curated a series of educational resources, as creative prompts, with accessibility and representation at their core. The creative prompts utilise content across multiple platforms to enhance the enjoyment of the learning, thinking, and making experience.

Students from Charter School East Dulwich worked collaboratively with participatory design facilitators. The Facilitators used consensus building creative prompts, such as film, live sketches, cultural artifacts, photography and storytelling, to elicit whole group participation, and collaborative prototyping.

The students improvised on, and adapted, the creative prompts to make sense of themes inspired by Yoruba heritage. Their work with a team of participatory design facilitators is prototypical. It is part of a co-prototyping process to create, and activate, a series of community-designed Mural proposals for open green spaces, in Southwark.

This workshop series is designed to enable all students to "recognise that they can make a difference in the world, with the necessary creative thinking skills to respond to challenges of the future."

This process is also part of a community-led initiative, to use public spaces to create equitable arts access across Southwark, with participatory prototyping.
